THE BURG FEATURES CDA PROJECTS

Despite having worked in Lancaster & York for most of his career, when Chris founded Chris Dawson Architect (CDA), he immediately set up shop in downtown Harrisburg. The beauty of the city combined with a shortage of architectural firms focused on design made the Capitol an obvious location to Chris.

Now in its 11th year, CDA continues to grow with important projects in Hershey; Columbus, Ohio; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Europe, but it is our Harrisburg projects that have been foundational from the beginning – Whitaker Center for Arts and the Sciences was our first client.

The opening of Elementary Coffee Co. in Fall 2019 on North Street signals the beginning of a slew of high profile projects reaching important milestones. Chris recently sat down with The Burg’s Diane White McNaughton to talk about these projects and their influence on the city we are proud to call home.
